“Life Is a Miracle, Life Is a Movie –
How is your part of the “plot” working out (for you)?”

I would really, sincerely, like to meet and talk personally with each and every one of you all. THAT would be a truly awesome post-millenium class reunion. (And we could, actually, do much, most or all of it ONLINE - without traveling out of our most comfortable favorite spaces where we are right now). Just respond and begin. BE who we really "Are." That's what I'm doing (at least what I "believe" to be so, if you may have evidence to the contrary, please share it - I want to know). You might be right.

This all could be the start of something very interesting and worthwhile. Who really knows what we can discover, until we take at least the first step?

And I would like to have a real opportunity to introduce myself to you after all these years, one on one, with the statement and question I wrote at the top of this “page.” Especially I would like to ask, “How are You? And to say, “Perhaps there is something still very important and wonderful that we might all learn from one another” (since “learning” and “school” is how we all got together in the first place). Still something to learn, something that may be priceless. Would you be willing? In my personal experience, we all parted ways (at least our adolescent high school ways), in May of 1960. Life dropped each of us off at the very threshold of one of the most transformational decades of the past 500 years, and “OUR” generation was at the heart of generating those changes. And though we started saying it back then, in the sixties, it’s still true today: “Today is (still) the very first day of the rest of your life.” Who is driving your bus? Who is writing your dreams? Is there still time to start a new course? Would you like to drive your bus? Would you like to write and realize your own dreams?

These are the kinds of questions that began to ring my bell in 1960. They still do, only I can realize it with full awareness now. All it takes is a reflective mind, and that mind can go anywhere. Anywhere. Where would you like to go? Where could you and I go in a real conversation? Would we have to hold anything back from each other, in order for our conversation to be “successful”? Isn’t there some appropriate way to share anything? If there is something meaningful that we know that we couldn’t share, then it must be true that either you are, or I am living in a prison of isolation with that secret that we can't find a way to speak.

I’m all for everyone getting out of prison, though I realize that some people can live in prisons for so long that “getting out” is terrifying.

Anyway, perhaps our conversations could be the key for getting out of inner, secret prisons we’re not even aware of. So then, all of this, my own self-introduction after 50 years, could be a key for you as well as for me. Let yourself out if you want to. I'm going to go further out of prison than I've been, starting again today as it has been every day for the past 41 years, since I discovered such a path of life as a gift in front of me. And we all have gifts, known or unknown within us, to share. Please get back to me if you're willing, or to someone, anyone you feel drawn to know at last, without any B.S. The alternative to B.S. is Love. On my epitaph, just put, “Lover of Life, in spite of all the headaches.” Only the name was changed to protect the innocence. (END OF PART ONE).

School Story:

The one I tell most often is being pushed backwards by Tom Cooper (band teacher), breaking the window of the band room door, as he shouted that "I was the MOST impudent student he ever had!" :)

As the sixties (and seventies) evolved I came to cherish this facet of my identity, in being willing to live successfully outside the norm. "Hey, look at me now." :)

DelRae, Sangeet and I will be travelling and teaching in Canada (Toronto and Newfoundland) for the next three weeks. So I want to send you an early birthday greeting. It used to be that the "high 70s" was considered beautiful weather. Now It's a beautiful age to have reached. Happy birthday, my friend. Our best also to Wally and his family.

Enjoyed reading your message to DelRae, but I guess I will have to call her for an explanation of the psychic storm front. I think you are way ahead of me! Happy Belated Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Delrae --

And please consider this: If communication, mechanical/electrical things, relationships, etc. seem a little off kilter for the next 3 weeks, don't worry. It's like a psychic storm front because Mercury is retrograde until September 21. (It started on August 30). It's a fluke of nature that happens about 3 times a year as Mercury cycles around the far side of the Sun. Just go with the flow and keep the happy birthday feelings going when Time seems to say otherwise. (Mercury rules timing and communications).

I hope that seems more like a gift than bad news.

Love and Blessings to you and Wally,
Krishna Singh
