In Memory

James Stanwick

James Stanwick

Jimmy passed away March 26, 2007.

Jimmy married Connie Jorgenson and live in Jackson, Nebraska. They moved to Sloan, lived there quite a few years, then settled at Hornick on an acreage they really enjoyed. Both Jimmy and Connie were fantastic gardeners and always shared their harvest with many people. They were also good at canning anything that grew.

Jimmy was a great songwriter and played piano, accordion and guitar. His two sons became very good at music. Jimmy sang, played accordion, and wrote songs for his Monona County Gospel Band. They played all over Iowa. That was his greatest love along with his family, sons Jeff (Sherry) Stanwick, one son and one daughter, Jackson, Nebraska, Jerry (Tracey) Stanwick, one daughter, Sloan, Iowa, and a daughter, Melissa (Dale Heinrich), one daughter, Wisner, Nebraska.

Jimmy worked for Days Garage Door and in the past, was a base cabinet maker.

Rest in peace, Jim.
